Goal
Simple, effective and private personal expense tracker that can be used on iExpenses website or privately on your own device if you install it.
Data is not saved in any server or cloud. If you use your own device, data is saved on the browser memory. If you use the website you should export data to your local memory (disk).
Main operation guides
- Categories: Set/manage (like My expenses, Mother's expenses, Car expenses, etc).
- Items: Set/manage - Type of expenses for each category (Like single monthly expenses electricity, internet, water, gas, rent or monthly multiexpenses like supermarket, fuel or restaurant).
- Managing Expenses: Click on any expense cell to update values, or use dual due days to handle distinct billing cycles.
- Setting Dates: Click or tap the date picker to set the date of payment.
- Setting descriptions: Click or tap on the date to open the description modal.
- Due Times & Frequencies: You can set the same due time for every month or individually for a given expense.
- Choose Year: One can choose the year the values are relative to. By default, the year is set to the current year.
- Export: Save current data as an .iexp backup (by default its name includes date and hour).
- Import: Load a previous backup (.iexp) done with the Export option.
- Excel: Export data to Excel format.
- Graph: Visual representation of the data. It's possible to print the graph any time.
Status Baselines (Colors)
- Green: Paid / Cleared
- Orange: Due soon (Next 2 days)
- Red: Overdue
- 2 sections listing the due payments in 2 days time and the missing payments.
Shortcuts & Backups
Use Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y for undo/redo actions, and export/import data securely using the backup tools or Excel spreadsheet option.
It's possible to choose a given language and one can redo or undo anytime.
Note: By default, iexpenses saves data in your browser memory. Since it can be deleted any time by the user, is prudent to save iexpenses data to your internal memory (disk) using the button Export, every time you make changes. Later on, you can use the Import button to load the exported version.
